Our Team

Dr. Katie McClellan, PT, DPT, OCS, CMPT
Katie grew up in Pretty Prairie, Kansas. Growing up in a small town gave her a love of being active, participating in sports, and being outdoors. Katie was a Division I athlete as a member of the Track and Field Team at the University of Nebraska. Her sophomore year at Nebraska, Katie would take 3rd place in the Big 12 in javelin with record throws for the University of Nebraska.
After college Katie attended Arizona State University to obtain her Masters of Science in Sports Administration/Management & Tourism. Katie worked as a graduate assistant in the Arizona State University Athletic Depart while completing her Masters. Once completed, Katie worked for the Kansas State University Athletics Program before taking a coaching job at Valley Heights for both basketball and track.
Katie then attended Wichita State University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program where she experience a clinical internship at Harter Physical Therapy. While an intern at HPT, Katie would become more interested in orthopedics and manual therapy. Katie has been with HPT since 2017. As chance would have it, Katie’s first day at Harter Physical Therapy was the exact same day Gabe and Amanda had their first child!
Since starting at Harter Physical Therapy, Katie would go on to earn her Board Certification in Orthopedics (OCS) and Certification in Manual Therapy through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy.
Katie’s favorite thing about working at Harter PT is the passion the clinic has for building relationships with patients and putting the patient’s well-being first. She has thrived in the mentorship program that Harter PT has cultivated. Through the hard work, mentorship, and studying she has obtained a high skill level of care and feels she has become the Doctor of Physical Therapy she has always wanted to be.
Outside of the clinic, Katie enjoys spending time with her partner, Jayde, and their children, Charlotte and Declan. They love to spend time outside, playing sports, playing guitar, cheering on the Chiefs/Royals/Jayhawks/Shockers, and growing their faith at Life.Church. Traveling to the mountains is always a yearly vacation to rejuvenate and spend quality time with one another.
