Celebrating 10 Years Serving Our Communities
11 years ago Amanda and Gabe were working as Travel Physical Therapists in California. They were miserable. They were miserable because they felt challenged to provide patients even close to what they would consider adequate care. They were experiencing the shift as healthcare companies seemed to care more about reimbursements than providing quality care to their patients. And patient care was pushed to the side. Witnessing these moments in healthcare starkly went against the reasons Amanda and Gabe chose to pursue a career in healthcare. In these moments “Patients deserve better” became a phrase Gabe and Amanda would frequently discuss. This was the moment that the beginning ideas for Harter Physical Therapy were conceived. A year later Amanda and Gabe would go on to open their first clinic in Goddard in 2014.
Since opening in 2014, Harter Physical Therapy has grown to have 3 locations and now has 24 team members! Harter Physical Therapy has been named one of the Best Physical Therapy Clinics in Wichita by Expertise.com in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Amanda has been awarded the Excellence in Healthcare award by WBJ in 2023, Gabe was awarded the Excellence in Healthcare award by WBJ in 2024, Harter Physical Therapy received the Clinic of the Year Award by Wichita State University in 2023, and Harter Physical Therapy has been named one of the Best Places to Work in the Wichita region in 2024.
We are grateful for the awards and recognition we have received through the years, but we are most grateful for the unwavering support given to us by our communities. It is hard to put into words how much it means to have our patients choose us to be a part of their journey, and to share pieces of their life with us.
We have experienced so much with our patients in the past 10 years. We have rejoiced with our patients, we have sat in the bleachers as our patients have returned to their first game back after injury, we’ve gotten to meet our patients’ families, we’ve laughed with our patients, we’ve cried with our patients. We have been inspired by our patients. We have learned to live better lives because of our patients, and we have been driven to be more, to do more, and to continue to never stop learning because of our patients.
In the past 10 years there has always been one constant — our passion for our communities and for serving our patients. “Patients deserve better” will forever be a driving force for us as we continue to provide care for our communities.
For these past 10 years we want to say thank you. Goddard, Cheney, Clearwater, and Wichita — you have supported us and inspired us, and we are grateful.

Patient Success Story
“Harter Physical Therapy is the number one place to go for PT! My therapist is Amanda Harter, one of the owners, and she is top notch in her knowledge and ability! She is kind and respectful and professional too! I have also had Katie as a therapist when Amanda is unavailable and Katie is very knowledgeable too! All staff is kind and respectful and very personable! I would definitely and have suggested Harter Physical Therapy to my friends and family! I have had other places do my physical therapy and I won’t go to anyone ever again since I have had the Harter experience!”
